My Monkey Boy

Luke has been trying to climb on the couch for what feels like forever. So, I was just sitting on the couch an episode of What Not To Wear just finished. I wasn't really expecting anything since he had just woken up from a short nap. I was flipping through the channels waiting for Dennis to arrive home when Luke decided he was going to sit next to me on the couch. He walked over climbed up as if he has been practicing behind my back for sometime. It was to cute. So here is a poor quality video taken just minutes later on my phone. Enjoy!

Moving Date is Now the 31st

Our Latest plan is for dad to leave Friday may 28th right after work and be here by Sunday the 30th. We then will pack up and leave Monday May 31st. Dennis will most likely work either till the middle of that week or until the 28th, so we can get the most money possible.

If any of you would be willing to come over and help clean that would be so great. I don't have the best vacuum so I will need someone who has a working one to bring there's. We also will need to Spackle some holes in the wall, wash the inside of the windows and the blinds as well. My landlord will be sending a list to my email of things that will need to be done. The boys will be busy loading so I am pretty much on my own with packing and cleaning. I will also need someone to watch Luke while we do this so he doesn't get in the way. I realize this is a lot right now but I would really appreciate it! Thank you guys so very much!

Are you sick of punching your pillow?

Through a series of events I've started baking my own bread. It started out with receiving some information from my neighbor that I had the ingredients and the wheat to do it completely from scratch. I have been using her Ultra-Mill and have been using it to grind wheat into flour and used her Bosch to mix it all together. I have become very good at it if I might say so myself. Luke and Dennis both have told me that they both prefer this bread over the stores bread. One day I noticed that I needed to make some bread rather quickly and my neighbor wasn't home so I could not use her Bosch. I remembered both Mom and Grandma telling me in our recent visits how domesticated I've become and how they remember the day when they didn't have things like kitchen aids and Bosch to help them.

So I decided to make it by hand. At first it was kind of fun but my arm started to hurt rather quickly. I took a little break to let my arm rest and to check on Luke. I decided to call Dennis and see how he was coming at work and I don't remember what but something was said to really tick me off. Upon returning to finish my bread I realized my arm wasn't in so much pain and started to beat the bread. It seemed soothing almost like punching a pillow. Now almost every time I get upset beading bread works better than punching a pillow. I never would have found such relief in letting out anger on bread if it wasn't for the mothers before me, so THANKS!

Belly Buttons

Five words Luke discovered his belly button. It was so cute. It was a very hot day and our landlord hadn't turned on the cooler yet so I just put Luke in shorts and t-shirt in hopes that would keep him cool and modest. Later that day I caught him admiring himself in the mirror I had put on the floor in the front room. He kept looking at himself and blushing. Then a few minutes later I noticed he had pulled up his shirt and found his "outie" belly button. He kept touching it and laughing oh it was so cute, but that isn't it! When Dennis and I were chilling on the couch yesterday he came up to Dennis pulled up his shirt saw his belly button and laughed. He then proceeded to pull his up touch his and laugh. I think he has made a connection! LOL. Oh it was so funny!

Then and Now

I was straightening up the computer room and pulled out this ball and was trying to deflate it when Luke came in and started giggling at the ball.I saw his eyes were big in amazement with how large this ball was. The result ended being me giving up trying to deflate it which included Luke winning his battle for possession of the ball. He was very excited that he won and this is what I came up with. I remember that my sister Jana told me to take a picture with an item to compare what he looked like at that moment and later on I could take another to see the change. So here I am with Luke a giant ball and a camera and of course, I couldn't help myself. Then and Now.

No comments No Blog! ;)

In my attempt to blog tonight Luke has turned off the computer 3 times and it has frozen another 2 times for a total of 5 times of having to completely shut down my computer and start all over again. So! The cute things Luke has done today will have to be self explanatory. Just so I can get them up for you to view. Please leave your comments I love to read them, it makes me feel that all this is worth it. Thanks!

5 THINGS then Before and After

I have come up with 10 total THINGS. 5 I will miss and 5 I wont miss about Utah. Also I spent most of my day today refacing my old dresser my dad built (my mother painted it) many years ago. I am really impressed with how it turned out. I have put up before and after pictures for you to view.

5 THINGS I will miss-
1. The convenient fry sauce packets you find in almost every restaurant. (Artic Circle)
2.The Mountains (The canyons especially)
3.Macey's Ice Cream cones (especially the price!)
4.Utah's sports teams and the rivalries.
5.Seeing a LDS Chapel on virtually every block.

5 THINGS I wont miss-
1.Driving in the snow (especially up my drive way)
2.Having the weather forecast change every 10 minutes
3.The Inversion
4.Living right next to a busy highway
5.Going to a neighborhood and seeing the only difference between the homes are the numbers on the porch.

Luke has been doing several cute things by the way. He can now say grandpa and grandma but its sounds more like "gama, gapa-pa." He also likes to talk on the phone, he will hold it up to his ear and start talking even if no one is talking back. I laugh every time he does it because its so cute! He has started a nasty habit of eating out of the trash. One time he brought me (in the computer room) waffle covered in spaghetti sauce leftovers that I had put into the trash. From the look on his face and the mess on the floor I could tell he had begun to eat it. UGH! Needless to say, its time to get a cover on the trash can. Well I must get going. Leave your comments and remember I love you! (he he, Barney! Gotta love it!)

Were Moving to NORTH CAROLINA!

Were Moving to North Carolina! This was such a hard decision, however I know the Lord needs us there. We have lots of plans already in place and I am working on carrying them out. One is a Yard Sale we will be having in the middle of may. Then my sister will be doing a dutch "good bye party" at Brick Oven with my family. Then on the 28th of May is the big day. My father in law and my brother in law Kendall will be coming out a few days before-hand to help us pack up and go. Its a 34 hour drive if we drive straight but I have a feeling it wont go as "straight" as it can since we have a one year old driving with us. We have high hopes for the future with this move. Dennis' Mom is back there anxiously awaiting our arrival and we are nervous and excited.

This will be the first time I have ever lived outside of Utah. Even though I have visited several places outside of Utah I'm still a little nervous, but that's a given when your moving somewhere you've never lived before.

So here are some items we will be selling in May. I will keep you posted on the date and time.

Futon, queen mattress and box spring, lamp table, entertainment center, book shelfs, antique soft chair, computer desk, bedside drawer, bike, stuffed animals, clothing, possibly books, purses, and used washer and dryer.

Please let everyone know that we are having this yard sale. Everything that doesn't get sold will be going to d.i.
