I sucked my two middle fingers when I was a baby. I would often hold a fleese blanket or cotton to my nose and reveled in its comfort it gave me while I sucked my fingers. I sucked them well beyond when I was "supposed to." My mother was constantly doing something to try to get me off my habbitt. Gloves, duck tape, nail polish, are just a few things I remember her trying. Nothing worked.
Eventually one day I was publicly embarrassed with my habit and I remember making the choice to stop and change. It was my comfort in a mean world so it wasn't easy but I'm glad I did it on my own.
Anyway, Amy hates pacifiers. Unlike her brother I can't get her to take one, at all. It looks like shes got another Like Mother, Like daughter trait.
